Excellent New Substacks

Check them out!

I listed some old favorites toward the end of my ‘Why Philosophy?’ interview, but I’ve been excited to see more of my favorite philosophers starting Substacks recently. Don’t miss:

• Greco & Wansley — Daniel Greco has long struck me as one of the most deeply reasonable people around, and while I don’t otherwise know his co-author Matt Wansley, he seems off to a good start!

• Daniel Muñoz is a rising star in normative ethics, and all-around great guy, so I’m excited to see him posting about philosophy, politics, and economics.

• Victor Kumar has an eye for deeply important issues in practical ethics. After starting with The Left’s Intellectual Crisis and Climate Anti-Humanism, I look forward to seeing what he comes up with next.

Plus a couple more older substacks that I’m currently appreciating, but may still be less known by many readers:

• Avram Hiller — don’t miss Monumental News, on our remarkable indifference to impartial value.

• Andy Masley — see especially Using ChatGPT is not bad for the environment.
